Gunfight Rages in Pinjura Shopian | KNO

Shopian, May 29 (KNO) : A gunfight has started between government forces and militants in Pinjura area of Shopian district. An official told KNO that on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area, joint team of forces including 44 RR launched search operation in the area. On intensifying search operation towards suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon forces triggered encounter, he said As per sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped. Meanwhile clashes are going from last three hours in the area in which at least thirty youth received injuries.(KNO)
